Metalachi
Metalachi
Hailing from Hollywood California via Juarez Mexico, Metalachi is a musical/comedy stage show that somehow seamlessly blends the world of Spinal Tap and Cheech & Chong into an over-the-top stage spectacle. Now considered to be one of the fastest growing shows in the US, Metalachi has garnered worldwide acclaim for their unique brand of raucous humor and innovative musical mastery, quickly amassing a loyal and diverse fan base of music lovers in addition to gaining praise from music royalty such as Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Vinnie Paul (Pantera, Hellyeah), Eric Wilson (Sublime), Billy Idol
and Howard Stern along the way. Fresh from their recent appearance on NBC's hit Summer show AMERICAS GOT TALENT, Metalachi most recently had the distinction of being named one of the top 5 cover/tribute bands in Los Angeles by LA Weekly.

The group is a 5-piece ensemble of classically trained mariachi
musician brothers, that have been fused together with the power of heavy metal. Voted one of the best live shows in Southern California by Examiner.com [4], Metalachi takes their cues from outrageous stage shows like KISS, Gwar and Rob Zombie with outrageous costumes, stage production, personas and onstage antics. The band features Vega De La Rockha on vocals, Maximilian "Dirty" Sanchez on violin, Nacho Picante on guitarron, Pacho Halen on guitar, El Cucuy on trumpet and is managed by mysterious impresario Warren Moscow.

Fans can expect an unlikely meshing of metal classics from artist such as Metallica, Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne and more with traditional mariachi standards from the likes of Vicente Fernandez and Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan ...all played with traditional mariachi instrumentation but with a stage show that strays far from
traditional.

THE STORY OF METALACHI...
On a hot summer night in Veracruz Mexico circa 1982, Consuela Espinoza stumbled out of her dilapidated shanty and into Rock N Roll history. What began as an innocent night of snorting horse tranquilzers in a hotel room with seven members of the village jai alai team went on to produce the greatest metal band to ever live. Unhampered by a steady regime of tequila and ill advised sumo lessons, nine months later five bastard children where born. Unable to care for her hungry offspring and concerned that motherhood would seriously interfere with her Tuesday night Karaoke league, Consuela hastily packed the babies into the saddlebags of a burro and sent her children off to America in search of a better life. Against all odds, 14 years later, and nearly dead from dehydration, the burro knelt down to drink from the stagnant waters of the Rio Grande just ouside of Juarez Mexico –mere yards from the U.S. border. With one fleeting burst of energy the brothers Espinoza cinco climbed from their leather restraints and scampered the vast reaches of the river, collapsing onto the sweet amber hue of American soil. As if by destiny, lodged in the sand beneath their tanned faces was a record sleeve upon which were the words "PARANOID" and "BLACK SABBATH". For many years to follow, this definitive black metal album served not only as a teacher and a mentor..but also as a friend. From these bleak and humble begins grew the seed that would
eventually be the band we know today. Often referred to as the greatest heavy metal band to ever live..always referred to as...METALACHI.

Candy's River House is a bare bones rock and roll trio that manages a schedule of 200+ shows a year traveling the US and Europe. In the words of Randy Harward, musical editor of City Weekly "Another Night, produced by Mike Sasich, is a thrilling, soulful 9-track dose of bluesy moans, beefy riffs, tight, towering rhythms and Young's masterful songwriting. It's a loud, proud record that appeals to fans of blues-based classic rock like Free and early ZZ Top, and relatively newer bands like Gov't Mule, The Black Crowes and The Black Keys."
